Notifications in the Settings rail ("Email + SMS preferences") is where you choose how Grassfed nudges you. As the page says: "Choose how we reach you. Your replies always live in the Inbox — these are just the nudges."
The three toggles
When a neighbor replies
Email me about replies — on by default. A short email with who replied, the campaign, and a preview of what they said, with a link that opens the conversation in your Inbox. Turning it off stops the emails; the reply still lands in your Inbox.
Text me about positive replies — off by default. Turning it on reveals a mobile-number field. No text is sent today — see the note on phone verification below.
Summaries
Weekly digest email — on by default. A Monday summary of the week just gone: emails sent, neighbors contacted, replies, live campaigns, and how many replies are still waiting on an answer. A week with no activity at all sends nothing rather than a row of zeros.
Who gets notified
The second card, Who gets notified, lists everyone on your account — you, plus any teammate, assistant, transaction coordinator or partner agent you have added — with three switches each:
Column | What it controls |
Replies | The reply alert email, for that person |
Digest | The Monday weekly digest, for that person |
Text | The positive-reply text alert, for that person (not sending yet — see below) |
Every switch is per person, so your coordinator can get every reply without also getting your weekly digest, and a partner agent can get the digest and nothing else. Changes save the moment you flip them — the Save notifications button below the card is for your own preferences in the cards above it.
New people default to email on, text off. Anyone you invite starts out receiving reply alerts and the weekly digest.
Everyone with email switched on is copied on your reply and campaign emails, so a "reply all" from your assistant keeps you in the thread. Up to 10 people.
They also receive your account emails: a campaign approval request, a payment-failed notice and its reminders, a payment link, and an add-card link. That is the point — the person who can actually fix a declined card is often not the person whose name is on the account.
They are never sent anything to do with your password or sign-in. Password resets and portal invites always go to you alone, and on the approval email the one-click sign-in button is minted for you only — everyone else's copy links to the normal portal sign-in page.
If you switch everyone off for a category, that email simply is not sent. Nothing quietly falls back to mailing the whole account.
Who may change whose switches
You can always change your own row.
An account owner can change anyone's row — so you can stop mailing a teammate who has left the desk without waiting for them to sign in.
If you are not an owner, everyone else's switches are shown but greyed out.
To add or remove a person entirely, go to Users. The Notify switch there is the coarse version of this card: switching it off there turns off both email categories here, and switching a category on here turns it back on.
Note — What changed
This card used to be a read-only list of addresses, and before that an editable box where you typed extra addresses in as chips. Now it is the per-person control: the same roster as Settings → Users, with a switch per notification instead of one all-or-nothing switch. There is still only one roster, so the two pages can never disagree. Everybody you had copied before is already listed, with email on; nothing was dropped.
Set your preferences
Open Settings → Notifications.
Flip the toggles to match how you want to be reached.
If you turned on text alerts, enter your mobile number in the phone field (in the format shown, for example +1 617 555 0142).
Select Save notifications. A "Notification preferences saved." confirmation appears.
To change what a teammate receives, use the switches on their row in Who gets notified. Those save on the spot — no Save button needed.
To add or remove a person entirely, open Settings → Users.
Note — Where the emails come from
Reply alerts and digests arrive from Grassfed <[email protected]> and every button in them leads to app.grsfd.ai. They are batched rather than instant, so an alert lands shortly after the reply itself. Whatever the toggles say, every reply is always waiting in your Inbox — see Emails from Grassfed for the full list.
Important — Text alerts are not sending yet
Text me about positive replies records your choice, but Grassfed sends no text messages today — and the same is true of the per-person Text switches in Who gets notified. Text alerts require confirming a number with a texted code, and phone verification is still coming — the Send code button is disabled until it ships. You can record the preference and save your number now and verify it then; standard message rates will apply. Until then, use the reply-alert email to hear about replies.
